When doctors feel “rotten,” this is what they do.
Doctors are human beings. Just like you, they’re often faced with stressful situations and difficult patients. As a result, they have to deal with their own personal issues while they’re at work. So what do doctors do when they feel “rotten” or need time to take care of themselves?
Some doctors will simply take a break from the office and go home. Others will ask their colleagues or practice manager if it’s possible for them to work from home for a few hours or even an entire day. Others may decide that it’s better for them to go out for lunch instead of eating at their desk so that they can get away from their responsibilities for a bit and enjoy some fresh air.
No matter what your doctor does when he or she feels rotten, remember that it’s important to be supportive of your doctor’s needs just as much as your own. Your doctor is there because he or she wants nothing more than to help you improve your health—and sometimes this means taking care of himself first!
It’s not just the patients who can get sick in health care.
Doctors are human, too—and sometimes even the best of us get a little… rotten. It happens to the best of us.
But if you’re worried about your doctor, don’t worry: you’re not alone! Doctors have their own ways of dealing with this. Here are some things they might do when they feel like they’re coming down with something:
1) They go to work anyway. Like anyone else, doctors need to work to pay their bills and support their families. So if you’ve got a doctor who seems to be a little under the weather but still shows up for work, don’t worry—it’s probably just because he or she doesn’t want to let down the team by taking time off from work!
2) They hide under their bedcovers until it’s time for them to go into surgery (or wherever else they need to be). If your doctor has been feeling “rotten” lately, but is still standing strong at work despite being sick, then chances are good that he or she will try really hard to get through whatever procedures he or she needs before
